How to Enable Scan Options In HP Officejet 6500A Plus Printer

Here’s a brief guide to help you enable scanning options in your HP Officejet 6500A Plus All-in-One printer. These steps should work with most of the latest HP web-enabled printers.

Note: HP sent me a review unit of the printer above and the steps are only for Windows. If you need help setting up your printer, check out our HP printer setup post.

Step 1: Go to Control Panel -> Device and Printers and double click on the HP printer icon. You will find Scanner Actions there. Under that, click Enable scan to computer.

Step 2: Well, that’s about it! You will be greeted with a message box that the printer is ready to scan the document to your computer.
