Step 5: Tap Start billing cycle and set a date based on your local carrier.

For example, if your carrier plan offers 10 GB per month, you can set a data alert at 8 GB.
Step 7: Turn on the Set data limit switch. This option will turn off mobile data when the specified limit is reached.
Step 8: Select the Data Limit option and set the current data provided by your carrier.
This option is also useful when you are traveling internationally or want to check mobile data usage. Those temporary local SIM cards come with limited internet data.
Check data usage on Samsung Galaxy phones
You can check how much data your Samsung Galaxy phone consumes. That will help you get rid of data-hungry apps. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your phone.
Step 2: Go to the Connect menu.

Use Super Data Saving Mode
Samsung also includes an Ultra data saver mode on Galaxy phones for extreme situations. If your phone is running low on mobile data, turn on super data saving mode.
The mode compresses data when it reaches your phone and also limits background data usage. Here’s how to enable it.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your phone.
Step 2: Go to the Connect menu.
Step 3: Select Data Usage from the following menu.
Step 4: Scroll down and select Super data saving mode.
Enable the conversion and you are ready to go.
