Although Google Maps is constantly evolving, it allows you to add markers for your home and work locations. So if you want to mark more important places, Google Maps allows you to add multiple labels or markers. It’s pretty easy to place those extra labels or markers on Google Maps.
Adding labels to Google Maps has two advantages. First, you can easily locate that place on Maps instead of typing the name to search. Also, even if you know the route, you’ll get a rough estimate of the time and traffic before you leave.

How to add multiple labels on Google Maps
Since Google Maps offers similar features on the iOS and Android apps, you can try it out on both platforms.
Step 1: Open Maps and tap on the Map icon in the top left corner.
If you already have a label for Work and Home, swipe right and tap the More option.
Step 2: Click the Plus icon in the bottom right corner to enter the address.
You can add the address directly or use the map to drop the label. The former is a better choice as it allows you to fine-tune the exact position.
What we usually do is enter a rough estimate and then make further edits on the map.
Step 3: Once you’re done with placement, tap Ok to add the location to your list of saved labels.
Follow the steps above for all the places you frequent.
So the next time you hit the search box, the saved labels will be available right next to Work and Home. Just swipe right to see them all.
Although you can delete labels, you cannot edit them from this page. Also, you cannot arrange the position of the labels. They appear in alphabetical order after Home and Office.
The good thing is that you can also pin the drive to boot (or get a preview) right away.
To pin a location, tap to open the label and swipe up on the details card. Now tap on the Pin option.
Open Pinned Locations, open the Go tab on your Maps app, and swipe up on the Details tab. All pinned locations will be displayed immediately. All you need to do is tap Start to begin the journey.
The labels are marked private and no one else has access to them.
How to rename labels on Google Maps
As noted earlier, you cannot edit labels directly from the Add Labels page. The option to do so is a bit hidden.
Step 1: Navigate to the Saved tab on Google Maps. If you’ve saved them fairly recently, the aforementioned labels will show up right at the top.
Step 2: Click on the label to display the Details tab. Here, tap on Edit Label to change the name.
How to add multiple labels on Google Maps for PC
Adding labels in the web version of Google Maps is simple and easy compared to the app.
Step 1: Search for the place on Google Maps. Click on the location to show details on the left panel.
Step 2: Scroll down on the panel and click Add label.
Name the label, and that’s it!
Naturally, the new stickers will appear on both your phone and your PC. To see all the labels on your PC, click the hamburger menu in the top left corner and select Your Places.
Bonus tip: Add a parking spot
This is one of our favorite features in Google Maps. The smart thing to do is to use it to temporarily save the location of any place.
However, it only works for current locations.
Step 1: On your phone, open Maps and tap the Current Location icon on the right.
Step 2: Click on the Blue Dot, this will bring up the Blue Dot menu. Tap Set as parking location, and you’re done.
Google Maps will save the location until you delete it manually or after a certain amount of time has passed. Google Maps saves it for about 8 hours.
Also, you can only save one parking spot at a time.
To access a parked location, tap the P icon on Maps and tap Directions or Get Started.
To delete a parked location, open the details tab and select Delete.

So that’s how you can add labels on Google Maps. As noted earlier, these are private listings, meaning you can’t share them. To make a list shareable, save it to a different list than the Labeled List.
