How to Unlock Artificial Island Barrier Dome in Tower of Fantasy

Tower of Fantasy released update 1.5 on September 15, 2022.

The update includes a new map called artificial island, house system, new 8-player cooperative “raid” gameplay, etc.

The update also fixed many issues like icon rendering, stuns, skins, etc.

The artificial island contains new quests, activities and monsters.

You can also solve puzzles, get gold kernels and loot supply boxes.

How to unlock the Artificial Island Dome in Tower of Fantasy

To unlock all 5 Artificial Island Domes in Tower of Fantasy, you need 3 Quick Repair Equipment, use the Repair Consumable Kit, and get the Institute Key Card by farming Aberrants.

You also need to get 3 License Key Cards to unlock the Barrier Dome.

Part 1: Quick repair equipment I

1. Head to the waters near Broken Tooth Island (-813.4, -382.3).
2. Collect 3 fireflies on 3 small boats.
3. Activate 3 “Anti-fog lights: fireflies” on the big boat.
4. Collect the Black Nucleus to get the first Quick Repair Equipment.

Part 2: Quick Repair Equipment II

1. Navigate to the waters south of Stranded Remains (-265.7, 844.2).
2. Collect 3 fireflies on 3 small boats.
3. Activate 3 “Anti-fog lights: fireflies” on the big boat.
4. Collect the Black Nucleus to get the first Quick Repair Equipment.

Part 3: Quick Repair Equipment III

1. Navigate to the waters east of Pins Island (309.5, -1083.5).
2. Collect 3 fireflies on 3 small boats.
3. Activate 3 “Anti-fog lights: fireflies” on the big boat.
4. Collect the Black Nucleus to get the first Quick Repair Equipment.

Part 4: Using the Consumable Repair Tool Kit

1. Head east of the desolate Water Treatment Plant (821.8, -389.0).
2. Buy a “Good Gift” from the Crystal Dust Shop.
3. Use “Good Gift” and select “Toolkit”.
4. Select “Repair Consumables: Toolkit x1”.

Part 5: Get an Institute Key Card

• Farm the Aberrants (e.g., Former Angry Researcher Aberrant Damlen) around the Artificial Island for the Institute Key Card.
• Some of its locations are Abandoned Water Treatment Plant, Rocky Mountain, Phi Van Mountain, etc.

Part 6: Arriving in the North of Gemini Island

1. Head back east of the desolate Water Treatment Plant (821.8, -389.0).
2. Head east towards the transmitter.
3. Select “Use the Institute Key Card to activate the transmitter”.

After you have selected “Use the Academy Key Card to activate the transmission”, you will be teleported to Gemini North Island.

Part 7: Going to South Gemini Island

1. Head southeast of North Gemini Island towards the transmission equipment.
2. Stand on the transmission to go to Nam Gemini Island.

Part 8: Get the Tyrone Spell Card

1. Head to the south of Song Tu Nam Island and go to the top of a mountain with large tree roots.
2. Go inside the container and get the card (Tyrone License Card).

Part 9: Using Blue Portal

1. Head north of South Gemini Island.
2. Go inside the Blue Portal to return to North Gemini Island.

Part 10: Reaching the Horizon of the Standing Sea

1. Head west and climb a mountain until you reach the transmission.
2. Use the Authorization Card: Tyrone to activate the transmitter and stand on it.

Part 11: Getting a Morris Authorization Card

1. Go to the top of a mountain in the Sea Horizon Stand.
2. Defeat all the monsters on the top of the mountain.
3. Take the pass halfway up the mountain.

Part 12: Collecting Gold Nucleus Sea Horizon Stand

1. Collect gold kernels in the same area.

Part 13: Go Listen to Earwyn Island

1. Cast to Spacerift: Estuary.
2. Go to Pins Island.
3. On the Island of Pins, head east until you reach the transmitter.
4. Use the Enable Card: Morris to activate the transmitter and stand on it to go to Listen to Earwyn Island.

Part 14: Collecting Damien’s Spell Cards

1. Head north and go up on the platform.
2. Pick up the Pass on the platform.

Part 15: Collect Listen to Earwyn Island Gold Nucleus

1. Climb to the top of the mountain near the minimap.
2. Using your jet pack, glide towards the Golden Nucleus and collect it.

Part 16: Arriving at Night Japan Island

1. Go to the transmitter on Listen to Earwyn Island.
2. Use the Authorization Card: Damien to activate the transmitter and stand on it to go to Diurnal Isle.

Part 17: Defeat Silver Helmet and Raging Fire

1. Head south to the transmission on the Diurnal Islet.
2. Defeat Silver Helmet, Fire Fury and collect 2 Red Nucleus.
