How to Sign In to Multiple Gmail Accounts At the Same Time

When it comes to Gmail, I’m sure most of us have more than one account. Gmail doesn’t mind. But when it comes to email productivity, for a long time, one had to log out (or sign out) from one Gmail account to log into another on the same browser. Of course, there are workarounds available – the simplest is to use two browsers – but there is no official information on any of them. Until Gmail decides – dammit, give the world a simple way to sign in to multiple Gmail accounts at once.

So with multi-account sign-in, you can sign in to multiple accounts using the same browser session. You can log in to ten accounts at the same time.

Enable multi-account login

Multi-account sign-in is supported across many Google products such as Gmail, Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sites, Reader, Voice, and Google Code. But first you have to enable it.

  1. Go to the multi-account login settings page
  2. Sign in to your account with your default Google username and password.
  3. Select Enable to enable multi-account sign-in and select the check boxes to confirm that you understand how to use multi-account sign-in.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Remember – You need to enable multi-account login in each your account that you may want to open at the same time.

When multi-account sign-in is enabled, you can sign in to another Google account by clicking your name or email address at the top right of the page. Then select the account you want to access or sign out of all accounts.

You can read more about this and resolve any issues you’re having through the official Google page explaining multi-account sign-in. Another good news is that multi-account sign-in support has also been extended to Gmail for mobile.
