How To Transfer Emulator Games To PS Vita On TN-V Via FTP

Switch main Ps Vita Ftp

From the moment you started using a hacked PS Vita running TN-V, you must have noticed that transferring games to PS Vita always requires you to re-transfer your Save Data to Vita file over and over again. If you only have a few games that you want to transfer that might be fine, but if you have more then the process can get pretty tedious.

This is especially true when it comes to emulators from other consoles that require ROMs, since both the emulator and the ROMs (games) they use are packaged in a single zip file. And since the emulator is already installed, that means reinstalling it all.

In this guide, we’ll show you an alternative to this process, which allows you to directly access your Vita wirelessly via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and install games for emulator you already have there.

Here is how it works.

For FTP to work on your TN-V PS Vita, you will have to install a (custom) homebrew application that serves this purpose. To do that…

Prepare everything

Step 1: Start by clicking here to download FTP for PSVita, a homebrew FTP client created specifically for TN-V, a PSP emulator. After you download it, transfer it to your hacked PS Vita via the usual method and install it there.

Note: If you don’t know how to install homebrew apps on your PS Vita, check out our guide on how to install both homebrew and emulators on your PS Vita. The process is pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

Step 2: Once that’s done, you’ll now need a way for the computer to communicate with your PS Vita. For that, you will use an FTP client. If you haven’t already, there are some great ones for free. Personally, I prefer Cyberduck because it’s easy to use and available for both Windows and Mac users.

Step 3: Naturally, if you want to transfer games to Vita’s emulator, you’ll need those games first, so make sure you download all the game backups you need.

Important Note: To use emulators on PS Vita, you need to back up games, also known as ROMs. Please note, however, that these and any other emulators currently available exist so that game owners can play backup copies of the games they own, and it is not recommended to violate them. piracy, this is illegal.

Switch your emulator game

Step 4: Now that you are done, go to your PS Vita, start the PSP emulator with your mining game and then start the FTP client in it.

The application will start an FTP server now on your PS Vita and will show you its address. Write it down and set your Vita aside.

Step 5: On your computer, you can now start Cyberduck (or any other FTP client you have). There, use either Open connection or Quick connection to enter the FTP address your Vita shows to connect to it.

When you’re done, a series of commands will show up on your PS Vita indicating that the connection is now open.

Step 6: Now on Cyberduck, navigate through the available folders until you find the emulator you want to port the game to. The emulator should be in the path shown in the image below.

Once you find the emulator, open its folder and look for a folder called ROM (or something similar) which is where all the games are.

Next, open that folder and simply drag and drop the games you want to transfer.

Depending on the size of the game, they will be transferred after a while.

Important Note: Since this is a wireless connection, large files may take too long to transfer, so this method is better saved for smaller files.

Once the transfer is complete, please close Cyberduck on your computer and also close the FTP client on your PS Vita by pressing the square button.

And that’s about it. Now your games will be waiting for you on the PS Vita emulator. Wish you happy gaming!
