Saddle up everyone, ’cause The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack has been revealed after a series of leaks, and the release date shows there isn’t much more to look forward to.
Whether you’re eager to see what new world we’ll explore or more interested in CAS and Build/Buy items, EA has shared plenty wait on Horse ranch from The Sims 4.
It’s been a whirlwind month for releases in the sims 4with Book Nook and Grunge Revival Kits released in early June, adding all-new items to decorate your Sims’ homes and clothing to show off their unique style. After that, we had a new Sims Delivery Express that added the R&B station – but clearly, that wasn’t all for sims reveals in June.

When is The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack released?

The release date of the sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack It’s July 20, 2023, which means we have less than a month until Simmers can get their Sims (and their horse!) out on the open road.

As is standard for Expansion Packs in the sims 4, horse ranch it will cost $39.99 / £34.99.
The DLC can now be pre-ordered from the EA app, Steam, and the Epic Games Store along with the console stores.
The new world of Chestnut Ridge in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch

The new world in the Expansion Pack is called Chestnut Ridge, which appears to be inspired by the “great American West,” according to a team post.
While we currently don’t have an overview of what the world map looks like as of yet, the SimGuru dev team usually hosts a live stream before launch, walks through the game, and checks out the new world, so we’ll share more. details here as they emerge.
However, we seem to know what each of the new neighborhoods will be called: New Appaloosa, Riders’ Glen, and Galloping Gulch.
New Gameplay Features and CAS in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch
As shared by Maxis in a blog post detailing what Simmers can expect to do in horse ranchWe’ll be able to do everything from participating in equestrian competitions to raising mini goats and sheep, seemingly not unlike the creatures in Cottage.
Here’s all we know you’ll be able to do so far:
- Breed, rescue or buy horses
- Competitions can be participated in the Equestrian Center.
- Make nectar by trampling fruit and age in nectar racks
- Foals can be born in the game and can even unlock unique traits.
- Horses can be ridden
- Horses have their own abilities: Agility, Stamina, Jumping and Temperament
- Horses can be created in CAS, with real world breeds available
- Mini goats and sheep, including milking and shearing, respectively
- Prairie Grass (new harvestable)
- The package also includes food, items, and CAS clothing that reflect Native American culture.

As has been the trend with many expansion packs throughout the sims 4 life cycle, players who buy the Horse ranch from The Sims 4 The DLC between June 22 and August 31, 2023 will receive three additional items to use within your game, which are the following:

- Softly Spoke n’ Petals
- The rockin star chair
