Since the introduction of iWork for iOS in 2010, Apple’s productivity apps have been loved by students and professionals alike on mobile devices.
Of these, Numbers for iPad is perhaps the most impressive, showing that you can create professional-grade spreadsheets with impressive charts and graphs without the need for a keyboard or mouse.
What makes Numbers special, however, is the plethora of formatting options that allow you to give each and every one of your spreadsheets a unique style.
Did you know: “Visual aids can be a very effective tool to enhance the impact of your presentations. Words and images presented in different formats can directly capture the imagination of your audience, adding power to your words.” – University of Leicester Learning Development Center
That said, here are four ways that you can instantly style your Numbers spreadsheet with just a few taps on your iPad.
Let’s start with them.
1. Table Style
To change the style of any table in your spreadsheet, first select any part of the table and then tap the format (brush) button at the top right of the screen. There, select Table and choose from different styles available there. One tap is enough, and you’ll see your table (and your entire spreadsheet) change in an instant.
Select alternating row word option Table Options It also helps differentiate your spreadsheet from others.
2. Cell color goes a long way
In a similar way to the tip above, you can completely change the personality of your spreadsheet by customizing its cell color. For this, select any cell and hit the format button again. However, this time, choose Cell tab, tap Color and choose from any of the available tones so that all selected cells change on the spot.
3. Font panel
The font is easily what gives the document its unique personality. Of course, numerical spreadsheets are no exception. To change the font of a spreadsheet on Numbers, start by selecting the cells (only those containing text) for which you want to change the font.
Then click the format button and select Text Options Under Cell navigation. There, you’ll be able to change its font type, size, and even color, any of which can change the overall style of your document in a snap.
4. Make your charts stand out
When you create a chart on a Numbers spreadsheet, you can choose to have the chart fade out behind other elements, or have the chart stand out above them. To do so, tap the format button after selecting your chart and choose how much you want it to stand out using the slider located below. Arrange navigation.
Your go. Whether you have a very simple or quite complex Numbers spreadsheet, you now know how to turn it into something completely new and unique with just a few taps.
