Prevent device from reconnecting to Find My

Step 1: Open the Find My application → click on the Devices tab → select the device.
Step 2: Click the i icon, scroll down and select Remove this device.
Step 3: Select Continue.
Step 4: Next, click Remove from the upper right corner (skip adding your number).
Step 5: Enter your Apple ID password and click Remove to confirm.
You can disable Activation Lock after the device is completely erased. On the devices page, click Remove this device and then click Remove.
3. Erase the device on iCloud
Step 1: Open the iCloud website in your favorite browser (you can use the link below).
Step 2: Sign in, scroll down and click the Find My icon.
Step 3: Select the device from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Click Erase device.
Step 5: Select Delete to continue.
Step 6: Click Next and then Done (avoid adding numbers or messages).
To remove Activation Lock from iCloud web: Once the device is erased, repeat steps 1 through 3 if you are not already on the devices page. Here, click Remove from account then Remove again to confirm.
