Uber has changed the way we get around by allowing us to hail a taxi. Booking a taxi and scheduling is so simple that it has become an essential part of commuting needs. All it takes is a few taps. Not only that, you can even save the places you visit frequently.

Delete Home or Work
Before, you could only add two places — work and home to your favorites. That changed in 2017 when Uber introduced the ability to save custom locations.

To remove your home or work, follow these steps:
Step 1: Launch the Uber app and tap the three-bar menu in the top left corner. Then click Install.
Step 2: On your Android phone, you will find the Delete option next to Home and Work. Tap the one you want to delete.
On an iOS device, swipe left on the place you want to delete.

Delete other saved places
To do so, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access Settings in the Uber app by tapping the three-bar menu on the home screen.
Step 2: Tap More Saved Places.
Step 3: On an Android phone, tap the three-dot icon next to where you want to delete and tap Delete from the menu.
On an iOS device, tap the X option and select Delete Saved Locations.
Edit saved places
If you accidentally added the wrong name to a location or saved the wrong address, you can edit those details. To do so, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to More Saved Places in Settings.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot icon next to the saved place and tap the Edit option.
Step 3: Click on the text area for the required option to edit it. Finally, press the Save button.
Add saved places without a trip
When you’re in a taxi, the Uber app gives you the option to add a destination as a saved location. However, that’s not the only way to save a place.
Here are two alternative ways to do it.
Method 1
Step 1: Open Uber Settings and go to More Saved Places.
Step 2: Click the More icon in the lower right corner. Search for a location or set a location on the map. After that, name it any name then hit the Save button.
Method 2
Step 1: On the main screen of the Uber app, tap Where to go? box followed by Saved Places.
Step 2: Click on the Add Saved Places option. Then put the address and name of the location and save it with the Save button.
Remove suggestions when adding saved places
When you want to save a place without making a journey, the app will suggest places based on your past trips. For privacy reasons or any other reason, if you want to remove those suggestions, you cannot do that. Unfortunately, Uber doesn’t allow past destinations to be removed from recommendations.
Delete Uber trip history
Anyone with access to your phone can see the places you’ve been using the Uber app. But a lot of us have secrets to keep, don’t we? One might think that deleting previous rides on Uber should be a simple option. But guess what? It does not exist.
You can’t delete the history of a trip, so forget about deleting the entire trip history. If you want to do so, you will have to delete your Uber account.
If you do that, you have to wait thirty days for the account to be permanently deleted. For thirty days, you must stop using the application with the same account. Once deleted, you can create a new account with the same details and clear profile.
Delete Uber account
Follow these steps for the same:
Step 1: On the app’s home screen, tap the three-bar menu in the top left corner, then Help.
Step 2: Tap Account and Billing Options, then select Change my account settings.
Step 3: Select Delete my Uber account and specify an appropriate reason.
Your Uber account will be deactivated immediately, but permanent deletion will take about a month. During that time, if you change your mind, you can reactivate your account. However, if you do so, your request to delete your account will be cancelled.
Save places wisely
The saved places feature can be useful in some cases, but it also has some evils. And fortunately, the app developers allow us to delete saved locations (unlike previous trips). We hope you can delete your saved places from the Uber app without any problems.
