Our lives are full of stories and we publish some of them online as well. But sometimes, things aren’t shown with just a photo or video. Adding more than one story would be helpful.
While stories on Facebook and Messenger offer different features, posting on one of them automatically publishes on another. That saves us the hassle of reposting it on another platform. But what if you want to add a second photo or video to your story? How to do that?
Well you are at the right place. Here we’ll show you how to add a second photo or video to your Facebook and Messenger stories.
Start.
Add a second photo on Facebook Story (Mobile App)
There are three ways to do so.
When you add your first photo or video to your story, return to the main Facebook app screen. You should see the old Add to Story button still there. Click it to add a second photo and publish it as you did with the first. Similarly, repeat the process if you want to add more.
While viewing your published story, if you decide to add more photos, Facebook also provides an option for that.
To do so, open the published story by tapping Your Story on the Facebook home screen. Then tap the More button at the bottom of the published story.

Take a new photo or upload an old one by tapping the gallery/scroll icon next to the take photo and publish button.
Method 3: Use Facebook Camera
Another way to add more stories is to use the Facebook camera. For that, tap on the camera icon present in the upper left corner of the Facebook app. Here, take a new photo or select one from the gallery and enhance it. Then, tap the Your Story option to share it directly with your story, or tap the Share With option followed by your Story (on the next screen).
Add more stories on Facebook Story (PC)
There are two ways for desktops and laptops.
Method 1: Use your story option
Open the Facebook website and click the Your Stories button. That will open the story you recently published. On the published story, you will see an Add to Your Story button. Click it.
Facebook will take you to the Create Post pop-up. Now add the photo and press the Share button. Make sure your Story is selected instead of News Feed.
Method 2: Add the word Create Post Box
You can also add multiple stories without opening your existing published story. For that, click on the status box or area that says ‘Write something here’. A pop-up window will appear. Now add a photo and select your Story option. Then press the Share button. If you choose Newsfeed, Facebook will publish it on your wall. So be careful.
Using this method, you can add multiple photos to your story at once. To do so, select multiple photos instead of one, or simply click the plus (+) icon next to the photo you selected.
More stories on Facebook Messenger
If you use Messenger to add stories to Facebook and Messenger, here are two methods to post more than one story from the Messenger app.

Method 1: Use your story option
Whether you’ve published your first story from Facebook or Messenger, you’ll see your Stories option with a plus sign when you launch Facebook Messenger. Touch it. Then use the camera button to take a new photo or select an existing photo. Finally, publish it.
Method 2: Use Messenger Camera
To do that, launch the Messenger app on your phone and tap the camera icon at the top. Upload your story and publish it as usual.
How to view multiple stories
When you add multiple stories on Facebook or Messenger, they all play as a slideshow in the order you added them. Currently, you cannot change their order after publishing them. To fast-forward the story, tap the right edge of the screen to skip to the next story. Tapping the left edge will take you to the previous story.
Extra tip 1: Add Facebook camera shortcut to home screen
If you like the effects and filters offered by the Facebook camera, you can add its shortcut on your phone’s home screen for quick access.
To do so, follow these steps:
Step 1: Launch the Facebook app on your phone.
Step 2: Tap the camera icon in the top left corner. Then tap the settings icon at the top.
Step 3: Tap Add camera shortcut. A pop-up window will appear. Click Ok to confirm.
Now go to the home screen of your phone. You will find the Camera app there. Click on it to launch it. You can use it to publish photos directly to your feed and stories, or save them on your phone.
Extra Tip 2: Change Facebook Story privacy settings
To change the audience for your Facebook story, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Facebook app and tap the three-bar icon at the top.
Step 2: Select Settings & Privacy from the menu, then Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Story Settings. Select Story Privacy and select an audience.
We want more features
Unlike Instagram which offers a native way to add multiple photos to stories, both Facebook and Messenger lack that feature on mobile apps. I really wanted this feature because I mainly use the app to publish stories.
Bad things aside, Facebook and Messenger both offer other cool features in stories. For instance, Messenger stories also allow you to apply face filters on old photos among other features.
