How to solve the fire and ice puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To solve the Fire and Ice puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you need to place the ice block on top of the pressure plate to open the portal and go to the upper platform.
Once there, you need to combine the large metal plate with the ice block and bring it down to the lower pedestal.
You can collect treasure chests by placing “ice block + large metal plate” next to the ledge and placing an ice block on top of it.
Finally, move the “ice block + large metal plate” under the flame to open the portal.
Here’s how to do this (expanding screenshot above):
- Use the Ultrahand ability to grab the ice block and send it into the flames for a moment.
- Place the ice block on top of the pressure plate to open the gate.
- Ride the air line up to get the upper platform.
- Use the Ultrahand ability to move the large metal plate to block the fire after the ice block melts.
- Reuse the Ultrahand ability to move the ice block away and combine the large metal plate on the ice block.
- Slide the “ice block + large metal plate” down the sharp ramp and slide back to the lower platform.
- Use the Ultrahand ability to move the “ice block + large metal plate” to the ledge.
- Reuse the Ultrahand ability to move the nearby ice block, place it on top of the large metal plate, climb up and open the treasure chest.
- Use the Ultrahand ability to move the “big block of ice + metal plate” under the flames.
After you place the “ice block + large metal plate” under the flame, it will push a pressure plate down.
Now the portal will open and you can collect your Light of Blessing.
