Semien and the Texas Rangers reached an agreement on December 1, 2021, for a seven-year, $175 million contract. For the second consecutive year in 2022, Semien led the big leagues in at-bats (657), sacrifice flies (10; tied with Alex Bregman and Alec Bohm), and plate appearances (724). He also hit 248/.304/.429 with 26 home runs and 83 RBIs.
