Pete Carroll and his spouse are parents to three children: Brennan, the elder son, Jaime, the daughter, and Nate, the younger son. Brennan Carroll, who played tight end at the University of Pittsburgh after transferring from the University of Delaware, graduated in 2001 and later joined his father as a graduate assistant. Jaime Carroll began attending USC in the fall of 2000, a few months before her father became the football coach; she w as a member of the Women of Troy’s women’s volleyball team. Nathan Carroll is a USC graduate, and in 2010, he joined his father as an assistant for the Seahawks.

Carroll began his professional coaching career in the NFL, but his true breakthrough came when he transitioned to college football with USC. Here, he not only revived a struggling program but also transformed it into a dominant force in collegiate sports. This success prompted Carroll’s return to the NFL in 2010 when he assumed the role of head coach for the Seattle Seahawks.

Under Carroll’s leadership, the Seahawks have enjoyed significant achievements, including nine playoff appearances, five divisional championships, two consecutive Super Bowl appearances, and a historic victory in Super Bowl XLVIII, marking the franchise’s first championship. The team’s formidable Legion of Boom defense, orchestrated by Carroll, led the league in scoring for four consecutive seasons.

Beyond his coaching prowess, Carroll attended Redwood High School in Larkspur, California, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete. His prowess in football, basketball, and baseball earned him the prestigious title of Athlete of the Year during his senior year in 1969. Carroll’s athletic achievements were further recognized when he was inducted into the charter class of the Redwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame in April 2009.
