For the first time, people had mixed reactions to it. On the one hand, it helps to interact with friends better but at the same time, people are starting to live in fear because before there was no option to control Facebook tags and all friends in your timeline have tagged photos or updates can be viewed as public.
The user has no control over them until they log in and remove the tag manually. But by that time, the damage had already been done.
But recently, Facebook tweaked the tagging feature, and you can now review all tags before they appear on your timeline. So let’s see how it’s done.
Review Facebook card
Open your Facebook account and click the little arrow near the home button in the top right corner to open the account’s privacy settings.
Here you can control almost all aspects of security related to your account and if you have not considered every aspect and angle here, you must do so at the earliest. Back to the problem, click the link Edit settings next to the Timeline and Tagging options. Here, you can control what happens when friends tag you or your content or post it on your timeline.
On the pop-up box, click on the section that says Review posts your friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline. Enable it, and the next time someone tags you in a photo or update, you’ll have permission to review them before they appear in your timeline.
Note: You may still be tagged, and tags may appear elsewhere on Facebook.
