So you want to get rid of your watch history on Netflix, right? Not too proud of some of the titles you’ve chosen to stream or don’t want other members of your account to know your business? We’ve all been there.

Deleting your Netflix history or specific titles in your history is really foolproof. You can also reset your rating on certain shows if you want to start fresh with recommendations or accidentally set a rating for a show you didn’t watch. It only takes a little digging to find these features, but luckily, Guiding Tech has done it for you.
How to delete Netflix viewing history
To clear your Netflix viewing history, you need to go to your account on the (newly redesigned) Netflix website. Do this by hovering over your name in the top right, then clicking Your account in the menu.
Note: Before continuing, make sure you’re signed in to your own user profile. If you’re using someone else’s profile on your account, that profile will show their viewing activity.
Netflix’s account settings are basically just a giant pile of links, so scroll until you find them. View activity Under My information part.
While you’re here, pay attention X next to any titles you’ve recently played on Netflix. Click X next to the title you want to remove and without warning, Netflix will remove it.
If you are deleting a TV show and click

next to a specific episode you watch, then Netflix will ask you if you want to delete the entire series. To do this, click

to remove any episodes you’ve watched from your watch activity.
Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t allow automatic deletion of your entire viewing activity at once, so you’ll have to go through and delete specific shows and movies. If you really need an explicit means of blocking, you can always create a new account.
How to remove Netflix ratings
If you want to reset the rating for one of your shows, you can access this option on the same Watch Activity page. Note the toggle button on the top right and click Rating instead of See. This will bring up a list of TV shows and movies you’ve rated along with ratings.
You can change the rating for each category by clicking the stars or clicking the icon X next to the title to clear the rating and start over. This is especially helpful if you think a movie or TV show you’ve rated is in some way misleading what Netflix recommends.
Because the rating applies to the entire TV show instead of individual episodes, removing one rating automatically affects the entire series.
