2. Make calls on WhatsApp Web
Currently, WhatsApp web does not support voice or video calls. You won’t even be notified of an incoming call. Only when the call is disconnected will you see the content of the missed call inside the web chat.

All calls to WhatsApp show WhatsApp text to distinguish it from regular phone calls. You will find it on the status bar or on the WhatsApp call screen.
4. Answer and reject WhatsApp calls
The method of answering or rejecting calls varies depending on whether your phone is locked or not. Check it out for Android and iPhone separately
On Android, tap the Answer button if the phone is unlocked. If your phone is locked, you’ll see a different call screen. Swipe up from the green button to accept the call. Swipe up on the red button to reject the call.
On iPhone, when the phone is unlocked, tap the blue Accept button to answer the call. Click Decline to reject it. If your phone is locked, swipe right on the Slide to answer button. To reject a call, press the physical power button twice.
5. Switch between voice calls and video calls
If you’re on a voice call with someone, you can switch to a video call by tapping the video button on the call screen.
The call will not be connected automatically. The other person will get a notification that you’re trying to video call them.
Tip: You can also switch from a video call to a voice call in WhatsApp. For that, tap the video off button.
6. Group Call on WhatsApp
Yes, our dear WhatsApp also supports group calling. You can have up to four people join a WhatsApp group call. And participants don’t just need to belong to a WhatsApp group. You can also make group calls without WhatsApp groups.
There are three ways to make a group call on WhatsApp.
Method 1: From a group
To do that, open the group and tap the call icon at the top. Select the contacts you want to call.
Method 2: From the Calls tab
To do that, go to the Calls tab on your Android or iPhone. Tap the new call icon. It is now at the top in the iOS interface. On Android, you’ll find it at the bottom. Select New group call. Search for participants and make calls.
Method 3: From individual calls
To do that, you need to call a contact first. Then, once you’re connected, tap the add participants icon in case of Android and Add call on iPhone.
7. Who can disconnect a WhatsApp call
Any of the participants can disconnect the WhatsApp call. If there are only two participants, the call will be disconnected from both sides. In the case of a group call, the call will continue for the remaining participants if you disconnect the call from your side.
8. Remove Participants from a Group Call
You can’t remove participants from a group call, even if you’re the group admin. The person will need to disconnect the call on their own. In addition, all participants will have to disconnect the call and recreate the group call without the aforementioned person.
9. Check WhatsApp call duration
You will find all the details of your past WhatsApp calls in the Calls tab in WhatsApp.
To check the call duration on Android, tap the contact’s name in the Calls tab. You will see a detailed call log of the time, duration, and even the amount of data consumed during the call.
On iPhone, tap the ‘i’ icon next to the person’s name to view call details.
10. Delete missed calls on WhatsApp
To remove a missed call from a contact, go to the Calls tab in WhatsApp on both Android and iPhone. Then, on Android, tap and hold the missed call contact that you want to delete. Tap the delete icon at the top.

Are not. Being online is not a requirement for WhatsApp calls. Your phone will still ring even if you are not using WhatsApp.

Yes and no. It will ring from your side, but since the recipient doesn’t have the app, they won’t be notified about it.
14. Does WhatsApp ring when the phone is off
That depends on the internet because WhatsApp needs an internet connection to work. So if you turn off your SIM card or mobile data, but you have an active Wi-Fi connection, your WhatsApp will ring. But if you don’t have Wi-Fi access, then WhatsApp calls won’t ring. In the case of airplane mode, you will not receive calls.
15. People who are not on WhatsApp

When you block a person, you will not receive their calls or messages. However, the call will ring normally on their side. It’s done so it won’t reveal that you’ve blocked them. Find out in detail what happens when you block someone on WhatsApp.
18. Do WhatsApp calls show up on the phone bill
Are not. WhatsApp calls won’t show up in the itemized section of your phone bill.
19. Are WhatsApp calls free?
Type. They will not be considered under your network operator’s normal calling plan. However, since WhatsApp uses data, the amount charged will depend on your internet plan.
20. Reduce data used in calls
If you feel that WhatsApp is consuming a lot of data, you can reduce it by using WhatsApp’s built-in settings. To do that, go to WhatsApp Settings > Data and Storage Usage. Turn on the toggle next to Low Data Usage.
21. Waiting for calls in WhatsApp
WhatsApp recently introduced call waiting functionality on WhatsApp. Meaning, if you are on a WhatsApp call and someone else calls you on WhatsApp, you will now be notified of that call. You can accept or decline new calls.
You will see two options (End & Accept and Reject) when receiving a new WhatsApp call while you are still on the call. The former will end the current call and connect you to the new one. The Reject option will reject new calls and help you to connect to existing calls.
Note: You’ll see the same options if you receive a regular phone call while on a WhatsApp call.
Bonus: How to Disable Call Options in WhatsApp
If you don’t like WhatsApp calls or if someone annoys you in WhatsApp calls, you will have to block that contact. Unfortunately, you cannot turn off calling. Also, you can’t just block WhatsApp voice or video calls without affecting messages.
However, to avoid WhatsApp calls, you can turn off WhatsApp call notifications. Doing that will make the WhatsApp calls silent. So even if you get a call, you won’t be bothered.
To disable WhatsApp call notifications, open WhatsApp Settings on your Android phone. Go to Notifications. Scroll down and tap Ringtones. Select None from the Sound selector. You can also turn off vibration.
Note: This feature is only available in the Android version of WhatsApp.
