How to Use FaceTime on Android and Windows

FaceTime is a great way to connect with friends and family through video calls. You can use SharePlay in FaceTime on your iPhone and iPad. Step 1: Open the FaceTime app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap Create Link in the top left corner.

Once a FaceTime link is created, iPhone prompts you to share it using different apps. You can also copy the link and share it separately. You may want to text through the Messages app.

Step 3: Tap Messages.

Step 4: Enter your name or contact number using your Android phone and send the link.

Although the FaceTime Link is shared, a text message that says ‘Join My FaceTime’ is not sent. You can tap the ‘i’ icon to try sending it of your choice.

Step 5: On your Android phone, tap the Messages app.

Step 6: Open Text Messages and tap on FaceTime Link.

Step 7: When the link opens in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, enter your name and tap Continue to join the call.

Step 8: Tap Allow to enable Camera and Microphone access.

Step 9: Select the option to allow the browser to record video.

Step 10: Choose your choice to allow the browser to record audio.

Step 11: Click Join in the upper right corner.

Step 12: On your iPhone, tap the FaceTime notification that says ‘Someone has asked to join’.

Step 13: Click Join in the upper right corner.

Step 14: Tap the ‘i’ icon in the upper right corner.

Step 15: Click on the blue checkmark icon to allow Android users to join the call.

Step 16: Tap Done in the upper right corner to start the call.

If you want to exit the call on your Android phone, tap Leave in the top right corner.

How to use FaceTime on Windows PC

Using FaceTime on a Windows computer is equally easy. Only iPhone, iPad, or Mac users can share FaceTime call links on your Windows PC. You’ll need to use up-to-date versions of the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser on your computer.

Step 1: On your Mac, press Command + Spacebar to open Spotlight Search, type face to face, and press Back.

Step 4: On your Windows PC, open the app or email where you received the FaceTime link.

Step 11: Click the green arrow icon on the left to allow Windows users to join the call.

Once the call starts, you can click the Leave icon in the bottom left corner of your Windows PC to leave the call.

No iPhone? Nothing!
