Stop automatic backup on Android
If you use an Android phone, here’s how to stop automatic backups to Google Photos. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Google Photos app for a bug-free experience.
Step 1: Open the Google Photos app.
Step 2: Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner.
Step 3: You can tap Manage Storage or Phone Settings.
Step 4: Tap Backup and sync at the top.
