You have two options here. You can sync folders with Google Drive or Backup to Google Photos.

Sync with Google Drive: It will upload all files and folders, including photos and videos. If you edit or delete a file, those changes are automatically synced.

Backup to Google Photos: Google Photos is purely a media backup service. It will ignore files and documents from the folder and only upload photos, gifs and videos to Google Photos.

Google Drive file transfer

This is one of the best features that Google borrowed from Drive File Stream. Instead of syncing your Drive folder with your PC, you have the option to transfer your entire Google Drive library to your computer.

You can view all your Google Drive files and folders on your PC without taking a single MB on your computer.

From the Google Drive Options menu, select Google Drive and you have two options to choose from – Streaming Files and Mirroring Files.
