How to set a time limit
You don’t have to enable Instagram Limits all the time. You may miss important messages or comments. Luckily, Instagram offers an option to prompt you to turn off Limits after a specific time.
Step 1: Open Instagram settings (refer to the steps above).
Step 2: Go to the Privacy menu and tap on Restrictions.
Step 3: Check the ‘Limit for’ menu and tap it. You can choose up to four weeks or six days to receive reminders.
After the selected time period has passed, Instagram will prompt you to turn off Limits.
Hide requests and comments with offensive Instagram messages
Even with Instagram Restrictions enabled, some people may still find ways to spoil your mood by sending offensive comments and messages. Instagram offers another way to combat such situations.
Instagram has a dedicated Hidden Words menu in the settings that automatically filters comments and messages with offensive words. Step 3: Click Manage Lists.
Step 4: Add the words you want to filter separated by commas.
You can add more words, phrases, and emojis. You can always update the list at any time.
