The issue was first reported on Reddit where many Android users stated that the feature was missing.

To fix the pin/unpin option not showing on Instagram, you need to log in to your Instagram account using an iPhone instead of an Android device.

This is because the option is currently bugged/glitched on Android devices but not on iOS devices.

Use an iPhone instead of an Android device.
Log in to your Instagram account on an iPhone.
Navigate to the post that you want to pin/unpin.
Tap on the three dots and select “Pin to Your Profile” or “Unpin From Your Profile”.
