Monetization options aren’t showing on YouTube because your channel isn’t eligible for monetization yet.
If your channel is eligible for monetization but you don’t see this option, there’s an error/problem on the YouTube app or YouTube Studio.
Since October, many creators have reported monetization errors on YouTube.
Some creators can’t see this option while others can’t turn it on or off.
“@TeamYouTube I’ve been a YouTube partner for years now and my monetization is gone. Any reason for this? Is there an error going on right now? Has anyone else had this problem?”.
“Is anyone missing the monetization tab? I have no strikes on my channel and no emails from YouTube.”
“Looks like YouTube is having trouble with monetization. I can’t see my monetization status and can’t monetize any videos. It just disappeared. Are there any other creative colleagues experiencing this issue?”.
How to fix monetization options not showing on YouTube
To fix monetization not showing on YouTube, you need to reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours to be eligible.
If you’ve monetized but can’t see options/tabs, it’s probably a bug/glitch on YouTube’s end.
Since the beginning of October, there was a monetization bug on YouTube that affected a lot of creators.
According to TeamYouTube on Twitter, YouTube is aware of the issue and is investigating.
Here are some of TeamYouTube’s responses:
“We have seen similar reports of missing monetization columns or icons in Studio. We appreciate your patience while we review it!”.
“Sorry for this issue, we have seen similar reports and are currently working on a fix. We’ll let you know when we have an update.”
Once the bug is fixed, there will be a new update for the YouTube app on the App Store and Google Play Store.
