There are two ways to check if Instagram is down.
The first way is to go to DownDetector (downdetector.com/status/instagram).
After you visit the website, check to see if the chart spikes.
If the graph has a spike, it means Instagram is most likely experiencing problems.
The second way is to go to Twitter and search for “Instagram down”.
Then check the top and latest tweets to see if many people tweet about it.
If a lot of people tweet about it, it means Instagram might not work for everyone, not just you.
If that’s the case, you’ll need to wait a few hours for the Instagram technical team to fix the outage.
2. Change your network
In some cases, your IP address may be temporarily blocked by Instagram.
This can happen if you perform too many actions in one go.
In other cases, your internet connection may be poor, not working, or too slow.
If so, an Instagram post may take too long to load and will timeout.
