Where’s my iPhone?
In its quest for a cleaner interface, it’s clear that Apple has gone a little too far in some respects. For example, if you’re going to the iTunes Store and plug in your iPhone or other iOS device, you’ll notice it’s nowhere to be found.
To access your iOS device, you need to be in your media library, so exit the iTunes Store (by clicking Library For example). And that’s when you will see your iPhone/iOS device.
Missing download

Then on the menu bar, click See and then on Show sidebar to show the classic iTunes sidebar.

There you go! Now you can go back to (almost) old iTunes or, if you like the new look, you won’t get lost anymore.
