To start using the tool, you need to type psr in the Windows 7 Start Menu search box.
The interface of the PSR is quite simple. Simply clicking “Start Recording” will start the process and you can repeat the steps that led to the error.
The Incident Steps Logger will not record the text you entered. So if you want some explanation, just click the “Add Comment” button while recording.
Once you’re done with your work, choose a location to save the generated ZIP file.
Unzip the zip file, then you can find the MHTML web archive viewable in Internet Explorer.
You can also select “slideshow” mode to review the recorded trouble steps.
You can now send the file to an IT technician or post it to the forum and wait for a solution.
