Peter McNab Cause of death, Age, Wife, Children, Net Worth, Siblings, Parents, Funeral – Peter McNab, an American ice hockey player, was born in Canada. He played 14 NHL seasons for the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, and New Jersey Devils between 1973 and 1987.

Later, he worked as a color analyst for the Colorado Avalanche from the start of their inaugural 1995-96 season until his death.

McNab moved to San Diego, California, when he was 14 years old, because his father was the head coach of the minor league San Diego Gulls. McNab was born and spent his childhood in Vancouver.

Peter began his career as a baseball player. He attended the University of Denver (DU) on a baseball scholarship and later joined the hockey team, earning all-WCHA honors in 1973.

McNab led the Cincinnati Swords of the American Hockey League (AHL) in scoring in 1973-74 despite playing in 49 of 76 games, and made his NHL debut the following season with Buffalo. On December 15, 1973, against the Minnesota North Stars, he scored his first NHL goal.

McNab was traded to the Boston Bruins after reaching the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals. In Boston, he had his best years in the NHL, scoring at least 35 goals and 75 points six seasons in a row and appearing in the 1977 NHL All-Star Game.

He scored the game-winning goal in overtime twice in the playoffs. McNab and teammate Mike Milbury were playing at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 23, 1979.
