You can control notification settings for all the websites you visit on your Chrome browser, or manage notification settings for each site individually.

How to manage/block notifications for individual sites

Open the website for which you want to manage notifications and tap the ‘i’ or ‘Secure’ icon on the left side of the address bar.

  • Always block on this site

How to manage/block notifications for all sites

If you don’t want any kind of notifications from any website or want to receive desktop notifications without the website asking for your permission, this is where you need to go.

Go to Chrome settings and scroll down to find advanced settings’. Click on it and scroll down further until you come across the ‘Privacy’ heading.

You will find ‘Content Settings’ below, click on it and a new window will pop up.

Scroll down in the new window to find the heading ‘Notifications’. You will be presented with three options that define how notifications are sent to you.

  • Allow all sites to show notifications
  • Ask when a site wants to show notifications (recommended)
  • Do not allow any website to display the message
