In a world of apps and notifications, getting a good night’s sleep sometimes gets compromised. You have the Digital Wellbeing feature to check your screen time on Android. And you can turn off notifications for specific apps. But Google has added another nifty feature in their Digital Wellbeing toolkit that lets you effectively restrict your device usage, especially when it’s time to sleep.
It is called Bedtime Mode, and in this post, we will share all the details about how to use it on your Android phone. Bedtime Mode was made available on Android 10 and above, mostly on phones running Stock Android. Your Samsung Galaxy phones need to run OneUI 5.0 or above to get this feature.
What Is Bedtime Mode on Android
As mentioned above, Bedtime Mode is a feature integrated into Digital Wellbeing. Bedtime Mode lets you set your sleep and wake-up times on your Android device. You can also enable Do Not Disturb to avoid incoming calls, messages, and notifications. That helps you save the battery life of your Android while keeping it in Bedtime Mode when you enable Greyscale or Dark Mode with it. The Greyscale mode removes the blue light emitted from the screen of your phone to prevent eye strain.
