To get started, download the Content Manager Assistant app from the Sony website (Mac version / Windows version) and run it on your computer to install.

When you’re done, the app will let you choose a source folder for the three main types of content you can transfer from your computer to your PS Vita: Photos, Videos, and Music, as well as a Backup folder where you can archive (and restore) any backups of your PS Vita system. Make sure you remember these, as the software won’t let you transfer media from folders other than those.

Hot Tip: It’s a good idea to create dedicated folders for all your PS Vita content to avoid confusion when transferring files.

On the app’s Preferences panel, click Wi-Fi connection settings tab and select the checkbox next to Connect to PS Vita system using Wi-Fi.
