In my previous article, I discussed how you can share large files online using your SkyDrive storage. If you’ve used the document sharing feature in Google docs before, you’ll find the sharing feature on Google Drive more or less the same. Simple, minimalistic and accessible interface. So let’s see how you can share your files on Google Drive with others.

Share files in Google Drive

Step 1: Open your Google Drive account and upload the files you want to share using Google Drive. If the files have already been uploaded to your account, select them and click the Share icon at the top. Alternatively, you can right-click the file and select the share option from the context menu.

If you’re looking to share securely, keep the file private and add the email addresses of the people you want to share it with. This will only share the file with specific people and they will have to sign in to their account (Google account) to view the file. All the users with whom you have shared your files in private mode will be notified via my email of the same issue and they can then access the files in the shared tab.

Step 4: Once you have made the desired changes to the permission level, share and save the settings.

Hot Tip: To quickly see all the files you’ve shared from your Google Drive account, click More—>Owner, import, add on the left sidebar and check the ownership options and capabilities desired display. Then Google Drive will check your files and show only those that match the camcorder.

Conclusion

Those are simple steps to quickly share your files from Google Drive. Regular users of Google Docs will find it nothing new, but those just starting out with the service will find it useful.
