How to Set Email Reminders in Mail App on iPhone

There may be times when you go through your email and notice an email asking for a response. You set a reminder in your head to reply at the end of the day but only remember the days after. This is the reality for most of us, and psychologists call it the forgetting curve. If you find this happening to you more often, the Remind Me feature on the Mail app on your iPhone might be for you.

With iOS 16, Apple introduced the Remind Me feature in its Mail app. This feature allows users to set a reminder to return to a message later. Users can choose how long they want the reminder to be in the mail. Here’s how to set a mail reminder on your iPhone.

How to set up Remind Me notifications on your iPhone

Step 1: Tap the Mail app on your iPhone screen to launch it.

Step 2: In Inbox, tap the email account you want to view.

Step 3: In the selected mailbox inbox, tap the email you want to be reminded of.

Step 8: Click the switch next to the Time feature to select the time of day you want.

Step 9: Click Done to save your changes.

Notice the clock icon next to the email, indicating the successful setup of the Remind me notification.

That’s all you need to do to set a reminder for your email. When the reminder time arrives, the message will be moved to the top of your inbox with a Remind Me label. If you’ve enabled push notifications for the mail app on your iPhone, you’ll receive mail notifications.
