How to See All the Photos Shared via Facebook Messenger

Messaging is an important part of our lives, and each IM platform is trying to support each other. We’ve compared how Facebook Messenger compares to Hangouts in their browser avatars, but here are a few simple tricks to keep track of all the photos you’ve shared on Facebook Messenger with your friends, on any kind of device.

1. Network

To access photos shared via the web, tap the message icon in the top panel right next to the notification icon. Then click See it all so you can see exactly what we need to do. If you open your friend’s chat window directly instead, you’ll never find the right option.

So when you are in the right section, click on the contact whose shared image you want to see. Then click act and then on See photos in the thread. This will give you access to all the pictures you have shared with that person.

2. iPhone and iPad

On iOS, things are pretty easy. Go to the Messenger app and click on a specific person’s chat window. Then you have to click on their name which will give you contact information including a section that says Shared photo.

3. Android devices

On Android devices running the updater app, things are a little different. You need to open the Facebook Messenger app again and tap on your contact’s chat then search for the circle I icon on the top right icon. This info window gives you all the data you need right there, but there’s no separate section for shared photos.

In fact, you will see all the shared media in one place, called Shared content. This includes photos you’ve shared from your gallery, via the camera app, or even a gif file. All will be neatly arranged into a corner here. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to separate gifs you send via keyboard and photos on Android.
