For me, one of the best and most useful Mac OS X utilities is Keychain Access, which allows you to store all your
system password
including from the websites you visit as well as most from
native app
(as long as the developer has enabled this feature). Naturally, the most convenient aspect of this utility is that it allows you to locate and view all your passwords in a simple way, which can sometimes be a lifesaver especially if you forget an important password. that you haven’t used in years.
For example, let’s say you forget the password of a website you visit often, but one day that website asks you for that password even though you specified your login information to be logged. remembered by that site (it could be because the site’s cookie has expired, for example).
To retrieve your password, just open Keychain Access, click password in the left panel and then double click on the website (or app) for which you want to set a password.
Note: If you have a lot of passwords stored, using the search field at the top right of the window can certainly help.
When you’re done, on the new window that pops up, click the checkbox next to Show password: and then enter your system password when prompted.
However, besides the obvious advantages of this feature, the Keychain Access utility also has some additional (and quite convenient) features that you may not be aware of.

Create secure notes
Making notes in the Keychain Access utility is a great way to store important information, such as passwords or passcodes, that you don’t use on your Mac. Want to keep your credit card number on hand? Or your card pin number? This is the best way to do it, as Secure Notes in Keychain Access are all encrypted and protected with the same system password as the other components in this Mac utility.
To create notes in Keychain Access, simply click Secure Notes on the left panel and then click “+” button at the bottom of the window. On the drop-down panel that appears, write your note, add a title to the note, and then click the . button Add button.
Furthermore, double-clicking a note once it’s created allows you to adjust some of its properties, including the password needed to open it.
Create a secure password
A hidden part of the Keychain Access utility, is the ability to generate strong, secure passwords for anything you might need them for.
To create one, with Keychain Access open, click Document on the menu bar and then select New password entry…
above Password of the drop-down panel that follows, click Key icon. This will open a Password Assistant window that recommends strong passwords for you depending on Type And Length you specify. I have personally used a few of these and they are really powerful and secure.
