How to schedule emails in the mail app
Let us show you how to schedule emails using the Mail app. Connect your iPhone, iPad or Mac to a strong internet network. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Once the app opens, tap the Compose icon in the bottom right corner.
Step 3: In the Compose New Message window, enter the contact’s email address and compose your email message.
Step 4: Press and hold the blue arrow icon in the upper right corner to schedule email sending.
Step 5: You will see three options to send your email, tap Send Later.
Step 6: In the Send Later window, select the date and time.
Step 7: Tap Done to confirm your choice.
How to edit the date and time for a scheduled email
If you realize that you need to change the date and time for your scheduled email, you’ll first need to make sure that the ‘Send Later’ folder appears along with the other folders.
Step 1: Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap Mailbox in the top left corner.
Step 3: Tap the Edit option in the Mailbox menu.
Step 4: From the list of folders, select Send Later at the bottom.
Step 5: Tap Done.
iOS will add a Send Later folder to the Inbox menu.
Change the date or time of a scheduled email
To edit your scheduled email, follow these steps.
Step 1: Tap Send Later to view all your scheduled emails.
Step 2: Select the scheduled email in the Send Later folder with the sending date and time you want to edit.
Step 3: When the email opens, tap Edit.
Step 4: Choose a new date and time to send your email.
Step 5: Click Done to save your changes.
How to make changes in a scheduled email
If you’ve scheduled the wrong email and want to make changes before it reaches your contacts, you can do so easily in the Mail app. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select Mailbox and click Send Later.
Step 3: In the Send Later folder, select Change scheduled email.
Step 4: Click Edit.
Step 5: Select Cancel sending later at the bottom.
Step 6: Go back to the Send Later folder and the message won’t appear there.
You can go back to make changes in specific emails and reschedule.
Delete scheduled messages
If you want to delete scheduled emails from the Mail app, it’s pretty easy.
Step 1: Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select the Mailbox option and open the Send Later folder.
Step 3: Select the scheduled email that you want to delete.
Step 4: Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the message.
Step 5: Select the Delete option in the upper-right corner of the pop-up menu.
The scheduled email will be deleted from the Send Later folder.
