How to Reset Your Starting Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To reset your starting Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to save the game before choosing your starter Pokemon.

Once you’ve saved the game, select the starter Pokemon and select “Yes” to give it a nickname.

In the nickname generation screen, you will be able to see the gender of your Pokemon.

If you want to change its gender, select the home button, close the game and open it again.

When you reopen the game, select the starting Pokemon again and its gender will be changed again.

Repeat the process until you get the desired gender.

Here’s the whole process to reset your starting Pokemon (reset its gender):

Save the game before you choose your starting Pokemon.
Select the starter Pokemon and select “Yes” to give it a nickname.
You can see your Pokemon’s gender in the nickname generation screen.
To scroll back to its gender, select the home button, close the game, and reopen it.
Select the starting Pokemon again and its gender will be changed.
Repeat the process until you get the desired gender.

Please note that the gender rollover percentages for all three starter Pokemon are 87.5% male and 12.5% female.

Therefore, if you want to get a female starting Pokemon, you will lose more spins.

You can change the nature of your starter Pokemon using Nature Mint later in the game, so it doesn’t really matter at first.
