Quick Tips
- Click on the Settings (gear) icon at the top right corner of the home page. Turn off Quick Links, and turn off Show Promoted Links.
- To disable the news feed, turn off the Show Feed toggle. Additionally, you can also turn off the weather and the background.
- You can also change the homepage to open a website of your choice on Microsoft Edge.
How to Remove Top Sites and News Feed
Step 1: When you open a new tab, click on the Settings icon at the top right.
If you do not find the option, go to Edge Settings, select Start, Home, and New Tabs, and select Customize under the New Tab Page menu.
Step 2: In the pop-up menu, click on the drop-down menu under Quick Links, and select Off. Additionally, turn off the toggle for Show Promoted Links.
Step 3: To disable News Feed, turn off the toggle for Show Feed. If you want to turn it off, you can always change the way it is displayed.
Alternatively, you can also disable Weather and the Background.
Restart Microsoft Edge to apply all the changes.

How to Change Home Page on Microsoft Edge
If you don’t want to see the default home page on Microsoft Edge – you can add a website of your choice.
Step 1: Open the Edge Settings, and go to Start, Home, and New Tabs.
Step 2: Under the When Microsoft Edge Starts menu, select Add a New Site and enter the URL of your choice. We’ve added the link to Google Search.
The website you have added will open up each time you start Microsoft Edge. You can also set multiple sites to open up as you start Edge.
Step 3: You can also configure Edge to open up a website when you click on the Home button. Under the Home Button menu – check the box, and enter the link for a website.
