How to prevent Instagram from saving account login information
Instagram does not automatically save your login information. It gives you an option where you can prevent it from saving your credentials. Here’s how to go about it.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android and tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner to open your profile screen.
Step 2: Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner and select Settings from the menu.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Sign out of your account name.
Step 4: You will get the message ‘Sign out of Instagram?’ pop-up window. Uncheck the box next to the ‘Remember my credentials’ option and tap Sign Out.
Additionally, you will have an option to decide if you want Instagram to remember your account details or not. On that pop-up, tap Not now.
If you’ve signed out of Instagram and want to delete the remembered information, you’ll need to sign back in and follow the steps outlined above.
How to delete a forgotten Instagram account
After signing out of the Instagram app, you’ll be taken to a login screen that shows two options — Sign in as name and Remove. The first option will quickly sign you back in. The second option will delete Instagram’s remembered account details.
You will then have to enter your login details manually whenever you want to access your account in the Instagram app.
Sign out of all accounts
Similarly, if you have multiple accounts on Instagram and tap Sign out of all accounts, you will have the option to save login details. You cannot specify and select any specific account.
