To ease some of the burden, you may want to assign an admin role to your Discord friends or other server members you trust and let them manage the server on your behalf. How to make someone server admin on Discord
You can give someone admin privileges on Discord through a PC or mobile app. This allows others to modify your Discord server and perform other moderation tasks. Of course, you can only do this if you are an administrator or server owner.
On the desktop
Step 1: Open the Discord app on your PC. Use the left sidebar to navigate to the server for which you want to make someone an administrator.
Step 2: Click on the name of the server at the top and select Server settings from the resulting menu.
Step 3: Use the left sidebar to switch to the Roles tab and click the Create Role button on your right.
Step 4: On the Edit Roles page, enter a name for the role—Admin or Administrator.
Step 5: Switch to the Permissions tab and scroll down to the Advanced Permissions section. Turn on the switch next to Admin and click Save Changes.
Step 6: Press the Esc key to return to the server page and click the Show member list icon at the top.
Step 7: Locate the user that you want to set as an administrator. Right click on his name, go to Roles and select the new role you created.
And that’s about it. The user will have administrative access to your server.
On Android or iPhone
Step 1: Launch the Discord app on your Android or iPhone and navigate to your server.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner, then tap Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down to the User Management section and tap on Roles.
Step 4: Click the Create Role button. Enter a name for the role in the Role Name field and tap Create.
Step 5: Tap on your newly created role, go to the Permissions tab and toggle the switch next to Administrator.
Step 6: Switch to the Members tab and click Add member.
Step 7: Select the user you want to set as an administrator and click Add to save the changes.
Once you complete the above steps, the user will have admin access to your server. Similarly, you can add more members to this list to give them admin access.
How to make someone a server owner on Discord
Let’s say you don’t want to run the Discord server you created anymore. In that case, you can easily transfer ownership of the server to one of its members. You can then leave the server or continue to be a member of it.
Switching server memberships is pretty straightforward, whether you’re using the service on a computer or a mobile device.
On the desktop
Step 1: Open the Discord app on your PC or go to Discord Web in your browser.
Step 2: Use the left sidebar to navigate to your Discord server.
Step 3: Click on the server name and select Server Settings from the menu that appears.
Step 4: In User Management, click Members.
Step 5: Scroll down or use the search bar to find the member you want to be the owner of.
Step 6: Click on the three-dot menu icon next to the username and select Transfer Ownership.
Step 7: Turn on the claim toggle and press the Transfer Ownership button.
On Android or iPhone
Step 1: Open the Discord app on your phone and navigate to your server.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner and tap Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Members and select the user you want to set as the owner.
Step 4: Click Transfer Ownership, tick the confirmation checkbox and press Transfer.
