You probably did it because you missed out on a great feature that MS Word has to offer. Let us tell you about it. Let us show you how you can group all the shape elements (that make up your photo/diagram) and turn it into a single object so you can move them all at once .
Steps to group shape elements to create an object
This process may seem time consuming, but it really helps in the long run. Otherwise, you will realize the pain of moving it.
Step 1: Navigate to Insert > Shape and select a shape that you want to insert or form part of the image that you want to draw.
Step 2: Repeat Step 1 for the other shapes, arranging them all to make a meaningful graph. Add text to the box if needed.
Step 3: Hold down the Ctrl key and select all the individual elements that you want to make a group. Hover and click an element (to select it) when the + sign appears.
Step 4: After selecting all the elements, release the Ctrl key and hover over any element until your cursor changes to a cross with four arrows.
Step 5: At this point, right click and navigate to group and choose Group select.
All elements will be combined to form a single object. The diagram will now be treated as a single element that you can easily move, rotate, format or any other action. Try and select it, you should be able to note the difference.
Note: Follow the above steps exactly as we mentioned, very carefully. If you miss a step, you will lose your selection and may have to start over.
If you want Ungroup or regroup elements, select it, right click and follow group option. Rest is easy to do.
