How to Get the New Android M App Drawer On Your Phone

On the first day of the Google IO conference, the upcoming version of Android was released as Android M. Although the official name remains a secret, we’ve already seen a lot of new features to improve. overall user experience. One of these announcements is a new App Drawer for an upcoming release. Google has completely changed the user interface, making it easy for users to access applications.

First, let’s see what’s new in the latest Android M App Drawer. Then we’ll see how to start using it right away.

What’s New in the US Android App Drawer

In the brand new App Drawer for Android M, Google has switched from horizontal page flip layout to vertical scrolling, just like HTC launcher. The background is still white and there is no option to make it transparent. At the top, the drawer will show you 4 pinned apps. Initially, they will all be Google Apps, but as you use the drawer, they will be replaced with the apps you use most often.

My favorite feature is that we can now directly search for apps instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom of the app drawer. Assuming you need to launch Zomato, it’s easier to find it than scrolling to the bottom of the drawer. Also, while scrolling, you can long press the scroll bar and find apps directly using the alphabetical list.

The app drawer is available in Android M developer preview on the Nexus 6. But don’t worry, you don’t have to go through all those complicated steps to try out the app drawer. Today I will show you how you can get Android M’s App Drawer on Android KitKat and Lollipop devices without root access.
