Putting your phone on silent mode by mistake can leave you feeling helpless, but only until you read this article. Check out three cool ways to find your lost Android phone even when it’s on vibrate or silent.
1. Use Android’s Location feature (Internet required)
This method of finding your phone is ideal when your phone is connected to the internet using your home Wi-Fi connection or 3G data. The Google dashboard gives you the option to locate your phone’s last known location on a map. To enable one-time installation on your Android, open Install the protection system and click Equipment management. Here, turn on the option for Android Device Manager and grant it remote lock, erase, and change password permissions.
Now, when you want to find your phone, open Google and just search for Find My Phone. If you’re signed in with your credentials, you’ll see a small box on the page with a minimap. The map will determine the location of your cell phone and also give you the option to ring it remotely.

Once the app is installed on your phone, you can set the SMS phrase and save the settings. The day you want to locate your phone when it’s on silent, just grab the phone of one of your friends, spouse or loved one and send an SMS to your phone with phrases are saved in the application.
The app will detect incoming messages and ring your phone even in silent mode. You can then trace the sound and find the phone. The only thing you have to be careful about is setting up the phrase. To find the phone, just clap three times and if the sensitivity is set correctly, the phone will ring even in silent mode. The problem, however, is that the app only works on clapping sounds and not on clapping patterns. Therefore, keep the application secret and do not reveal it to your friends.
