How to Fix “Unable to send friend request” on Roblox

Roblox is a great place to create worlds, play games, and make friends.

If you want to add someone as a friend, you can find them by searching for their username.

To do so, use the search box at the top of the screen and select “People” as the category.

When you send a friend request to someone, they can either accept or deny it.

However, some users have trouble with sending a friend request due to an error.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix “Unable to send friend request” on Roblox on mobile or PC.

To fix “Unable to send friend request” on Roblox, you can try unblocking your friend or clearing Roblox’s cache.

You can also try to clear temp files or uninstall and reinstall Roblox before sending a friend request.

For PC: Go to roblox.com > Log in to your Roblox account > Settings icon > Settings > Privacy > Scroll down to the bottom > Blocked Users > Show > Your friend’s username > Unblock.
For Android: Open the Roblox app > Log in to your Roblox account > More > Settings > Privacy > Scroll down to the bottom > Blocked Users > Show > Your friend’s username > Unblock.
For iOS: Open the Roblox app > Log in to your Roblox account > More > Settings > Privacy > Scroll down to the bottom > Blocked Users > Show > Your friend’s username > Unblock.

Note #1: If you didn’t block your friend on Roblox, ask your friend to follow the steps above to unblock you before you can add them on Roblox.

Note #2: After you’ve unblocked your friend or your friend unblocked you, try adding each other on Roblox again.

For Chrome: Three dots (upper right corner) > Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > View permissions and data stored across sites > Search for “Roblox” > Click on the trash icon > Clear.
For Android: Open the Settings app > Apps > Manage apps > Roblox > Storage > Clear data > Clear cache > OK > Clear data > Clear all data > OK.
For iOS: Open the Settings app > General > iPhone Storage > Roblox > Offload App > Reinstall App.

Note: After you’ve cleared Roblox’s cache, try adding the person as a friend in Roblox again.

For PC: Type %temp% using Windows Search and press enter > Press CTRL + A > Right-click and select the trash icon to delete all temporary files.
For Android: Nil.
For iOS: Nil.

For PC: Search for “Control Panel” using Windows Search > Programs > Uninstall a program > Right-click “Roblox Player” > Uninstall > Right-click “Roblox Studio” > Uninstall.
For Android: Tap and hold the Roblox app > Uninstall > Open the Google Play Store > Search for “Roblox” > Reinstall Roblox.
For iOS: Tap and hold the Roblox app > Remove App > Open the App Store > Search for “Roblox” > Reinstall Roblox.

Note: After you’ve reinstalled Roblox, try adding the person as a friend in Roblox again.
