We found a great alternative that works on the same concept but offers great additional functionalities than SendShots.
MailVU is a useful online service that allows you to record video messages and send them to friends via email or broadcast via a shareable link. To record a video, simply open the MailVU homepage. You can record videos even without subscribing to the service.

MailVU Recorder will ask you for permission to use your webcam and microphone, confirming that you will be able to see yourself on the screen recorder.
