Sometimes they don’t stop calling, annoying you. So let’s see how you can block phone numbers on your Android and give you more peace of mind. We will be using Call Blocker, a nifty call blocking app, for this task. While there are countless apps that claim to block phone numbers on your Android, Call Blocker is one of the easiest to set up and work with.
Note: All call blockers automatically reject incoming calls from a specific contact only for a few seconds. As a result, the caller will always have the feeling that you are deliberately hanging up their call.
Set up call barring to block phone numbers
Download and install Call Blocker on your Android phone from the Play Store. Call barring works on all Android devices. Run the call barring setup app on your phone. The opening screen will show you the status of the call blocker and the mode it is in. By default, the shield will be green with the power button, meaning it is active.
There are four modes in which the call blocker works. Block all, block blacklist, allow whitelist and allow whitelist with contacts. To set the active mode, tap the small settings button next to the shield. Here in settings configure the mode of operation. If you choose to block all, that’s the end of the story and the app will track and block all incoming calls. If you choose any other mode, you will have to edit the blacklist and whitelist items.
Select the Blacklist and Whitelist tabs and click on the respective lists to add numbers. You can import numbers from contacts, call logs, and text messages. You can even enter it manually if you remember the digits.
As soon as you import your contacts, you are ready to go. Exit the app and forget about it. Call barring will now run in the background and monitor all your incoming calls. If you have selected block blacklist option, it will block all phone numbers in the list. In allow-only whitelist mode, it will block all phone numbers except those in whitelist.
By default, the app shows a notification for each phone number it blocks. If you want to disable this notification, open the app settings and remove the check for Notice select.
To view a log of all the phone numbers that have been blocked by the app, open the Block logs settings in the app.
