Steps to add Google contacts to Windows Phone 8

The best possible way here is to add Google’s email service to the phone. When you do that, the contacts will automatically sync. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Swipe the Start Screen to the left to get to the detailed list of apps. Towards Setting.

Step 2: On System installation screen, look for options email + account. Tap to open options.

Step 3: Along with the list of accounts that you have added, you will see an option to add an account. Start with that.

Step 4: From add an account search screen Google. You can select other services in the same way.

Step 5: The moment you do that, you will be asked to provide your account credentials. input Email address and Password before you click next.

Note: Enter the full email address. For example, [email protected] If you don’t do that, the next button will not be activated.

Step 6: You will then be asked to select the content to sync. Select Email, contacts and calendar to make sure your contacts are imported.

Step 7: Click log in and wait. You will be taken back email + account install and will notice sync activity.

When done, you will have all your Google contacts on your phone. You will have access to their phone numbers, email addresses and other details associated with the respective contacts in the list.

The steps for other services are very similar. And, based on the service you’re adding, you’ll have different sync options.

Note: If you’re adding a Google app account, you must ensure that administrative permissions for Google sync settings are enabled.
