Chatting about your daily life can let your friends know what you’ve been up to. Or, if you’re not a regular person, ‘Snap Vacation’ may also work from time to time. But, what if you were in the flow and accidentally sent the wrong Snap? If this has happened to you and you’re wondering if you can unsend or delete Snaps on Snapchat, keep reading.
First, you can’t cancel snaps on Snapchat. But you can delete snaps on Snapchat, similar to the unsend feature and prevent recipients from accessing it. However, some restrictions apply to deleting Snapchat snaps. Let’s explore more about it in the next section.

1. Remove photos from Snapchat chats
Snapchat allows you to delete individual photos and Stories sent to your friends. This means that if you’ve mistakenly sent a snapshot to your friend via private chat, you’ll need to delete it from Snapchat messages. Follow the steps below on Android or iPhone.
Step 1: Open the Snapchat mobile app.
Step 2: Here, tap on the Chat icon.
Step 3: Then, click on the relevant user to open their Chat window.
Step 4: Long press on the snap you want to delete.
Step 5: From the options, tap Delete.
Step 6: Again, tap Delete.
This will immediately delete sent photos from Snapchat. Although the deleted snapshot will no longer be available, a message stating that you deleted the snapshot will display in the Chat window, notifying the user that the snapshot has been deleted.
Tip: You can also change the chat settings to automatically delete the snapshot after the recipient views it. Press and hold your friend’s name or group > select Chat Settings > Delete Chat > select After Viewing.
2. Remove photos from Snapchat Story
In addition to uploading Snaps directly, Snapchat also allows users to add camera roll photos to their Snapchat Stories. This also means that if you choose the wrong photo, it will eventually be uploaded to your Snapchat Story.
