Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson Are Back on Twitter

Andrew Tate, 4x kickboxing champion, and Jordan Peterson, clinical psychologist have returned to Twitter after Elon Musk unbanned them.

Elon Musk made significant changes to Twitter after acquiring it, one of which was the unblocking/restoring of previously banned notable characters.

On the contrary, he enforced and enacted a new policy banning impersonation.

This is in line with the new and improved Twitter Blue, which gives users a blue check mark when they pay $8 for it.

The changes are part of Elon’s goal of making Twitter “a platform for free speech but not free access,” in his words.

Andrew Tate was banned in 2017 for violating Twitter policies.

In 2017, a cartoonist started a GoFundMe fundraiser because his son needed a medical procedure.

Tate criticized a cartoonist for not having enough money to support his son — and was banned for it.

On the other hand, Jordan Peterson was banned for “hateful behavior” and forced to delete his tweet.

Neither Tate nor Peterson were banned on November 18.

On the first day of restoration, Peterson suggested restoring @realDonaldTrump and @ConceptualJames.

Freedom of speech allows people to freely express their opinions and allows conversations to take place.

The previous management of Twitter aimed to ban people who don’t deserve to be banned while leaving other really dangerous people on the platform.

If Twitter is consistent in enforcing its policies, a large number of people will be banned — not just one or two notable figures.

Elon Musk plans to fix this by forming a content moderation board with a variety of views.

“The board will convene any material decisions on content or account recovery,” he put it.
