The Apple Music Voice Plan is a cheaper subscription option for users who don’t try the Apple Music service. At $4.99, the Voice Plan is cheaper than the Apple Music Individual plan. Through a Siri request, it grants Apple Music subscribers access to songs, stations, and playlists. It also provides music recommendations based on recently played music or your chosen music preferences.
While song and radio station selections can be searched and previewed on Apple Music, as long as users have a Voice Plan subscription, they’ll have to set a Siri request to set them. Because of controlling music selections through Siri rather than the Apple Music app, a Voice Plan subscription may not be for everyone. If you signed up for a Voice Plan and don’t want to use it anymore, there are three different ways to cancel it.
1. Cancel Apple Music Voice Pack from iPhone Settings
One method of canceling the Apple Music Voice Pack requires accessing your phone’s Settings. From your phone’s Settings, you can access your Apple ID subscription. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
Step 2: From the top of the Settings page, tap your Apple ID name to continue the process.
Step 3: On the new page, tap on Subscriptions and this will launch a new screen showing the various subscriptions associated with your Apple ID.
Step 4: In the list of active subscriptions, tap the Apple Music subscription.
Step 5: Under Preferences, tap Unsubscribe to launch an on-screen prompt.
Step 6: Tap Confirm on the prompt screen to cancel the subscription.
Note: Service may continue until the next billing date.
That’s how you can cancel the Apple Music Sound Pack from Settings. There is another way to cancel a package from the Music app.
2. Cancel Apple Music Voice Pack from the Music App
It’s pretty simple to cancel the Apple Music Voice Pack from the Music app. It’s also as easy, if not easier, than doing it from the phone’s Settings app. Check out the steps below to achieve this:
Step 1: Launch the Music app on your iPhone.
Step 2: On the app, tap the Listen Now section at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Go to the top right part of the screen, then tap the Account icon or picture to launch a new screen
Step 4: From the options on the Account page, tap Manage Subscriptions.
Step 5: On the Edit Subscription screen, scroll to the bottom of your page and tap Unsubscribe.
Step 6: You will see an on-screen prompt asking you to confirm that you want to unsubscribe. Click Confirm.
After you follow the steps above, the existing Apple Music Voice Pack will be cancelled. Note that the plan will likely continue until the next billing date.
3. Cancel Apple Music voice plan from App Store
The last method you can try when canceling your Apple Music Voice Pack is the App Store. The App Store maintains records of all app purchases and subscriptions. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Launch the App Store on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap the profile icon located at the top of the screen.
Step 3: From the listed options, tap Sign Up.
Step 4: On the Subscriptions page, tap Apple Music in the active group.
Step 5: On the Edit Subscription screen, scroll to the bottom of your page and tap Unsubscribe.
Step 6: Tap Confirm on the prompt screen to cancel the subscription.
Stream with Apple Music
Using any of the three methods explained above, you should be able to cancel your Apple Music Voice Pack subscription. The same methods can be applied to cancel other types of Apple Music subscriptions. The plan will continue to work until the following billing days. So you can continue to use the plan until your current billing period expires.
The Apple Music Voice bundle is the perfect package for you to experience what the Apple Music library can do for you. Of course, voice command support is great, but if you want to get the most out of the service, check out which plan fits your requirements.
