The sharing feature works a little differently in Google Photos if you compare it to other tools. Many questions arise regarding the privacy of photos when added to a shared album.
For starters, when you share an album with some people, they can invite more people to join the album. And that’s one of the reasons to remove people from shared albums. Although it has its advantages, adding more people without the owner’s permission is a bit scary. But please wait a moment.
Shared albums have a unique link. Anyone with access to the link can see the photos in the album. So even if someone is uninvited and they have the link, they can still see the photo.

If you are the owner of the album and you block a person in the shared album, the following will happen:

To see the people you’ve blocked and unblock them, open the Google block list page. Click the delete icon next to the person you want to unblock.

When you stop sharing an album, the following will happen:
Your photos
Others who previously had access to the album will lose access to the photos. They won’t be able to see them because the album is private for now. However, if they have previously copied or downloaded photos, those photos will not be deleted. Therefore, they can still access them.
Note: The photos will not be deleted from you.
If other people have added photos to the album, they will also be removed from your view. If you’ve saved them to your Google Photos account, they won’t be deleted.

How to stop sharing albums
For that, follow these steps on Android and iPhone:
Step 1: Launch the Google Photos app and tap the Share tab. Open the album you want to unshare.
Step 2: Tap the three dots at the top. Select Options from it.
Step 3: Turn off the switch next to Share. Confirm on the next screen.
To reshare an album, you don’t have to create and re-add photos to the album. Although it disappears from the Share tab, you will find it in the Albums tab.
Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1: Launch the Google Photos app.
Step 2: Tap Albums at the bottom. Tap the album you want to share again. All your previously added photos will be available in the album.
Step 3: Tap the share icon at the top and select the people you want to share the album with. After sharing, you’ll find the album again in the Share tab.
